About This Spot

Stepping into RicoPan LatinPastries feels like wandering into a well-kept neighborhood treasure—a warm nook where the bustle of nearby San Bruno slows just enough to invite a quiet moment of comfort. The bakery’s modest storefront belies an interior filled with the gentle hum of shared stories and the soft scent of fresh dough mingling with sweet spices. There’s a welcoming rhythm here, where each serving is part of a tradition lovingly preserved and quietly celebrated.

The air carries the rich aroma of classic Latin pastries alongside familiar European-inspired delights, creating a subtle but inviting mingling of cultures. Whether you’re drawn to the flaky, buttery layers of a cream cheese Danish or intrigued by the delicate promise of a coconut croissant, every bite feels like a gentle rediscovery—something both familiar and new. There’s also a sense of community in the way the menu balances nostalgia and variety; from traditional Mexican pan dulce to unexpected treats like strawberry-filled tres leches cake, the offerings mirror the diverse tastes of the neighborhood and the stories that weave through it.

Around the small café, the pace is easy and unhurried. Locals and visitors alike seem to appreciate the thoughtful touches—like the occasional tamale served midweek—and the friendly service that makes each visit feel personal, rather than transactional. There’s a certain joy in pausing here, whether for a quick espresso or a quiet afternoon snack paired with a cold frappe. The bright display cases, filled with cookies, cinnamon sticks, and pastries that carry the weight of family recipes, invite to linger, to savor, to connect.

RicoPan offers more than just baked goods—it’s a quiet celebration of culture, comfort, and the everyday moments that make a place feel like home, even if just for a brief visit.

Nestled right near SFO International Airport. RICO PAN! Delicious sweet bread indeed. Guess what? They also have tamales from Wednesday to Sunday. I am a returning customer. The main street also has many other boutique shops and delicious restaurants nearby.

This little panderia is reminiscent of the panderia's we have back in NC. This store is pleasing to walk into and quick to serve. The selection is vast and the bread is high quality. I got the cream cheese Danish which was incredible and my wife got the chocolate claw. Both were really really good and we even got a little cookie to go with it all. 10/10

Just passing by and saw this unique Latin pastry shop. The chocolate dipped cookie caught my husband’s eyes, it was his favorite cookie when he used to live in Hong Kong. I guess this item is an European thing? To my had a row of Pastries such as Danish and popular items like Apple fritter. The cookie I had in my hand was very thick and it is the semi soft kind. Price was $0.85/each for all of the cookies selection and around $5 bucks for a fat sliced cookie. The art on the front window is so cute and eye catching. It is a nice place to stop by if you happen to be in this area of downtown San Bruno.

Wow! Love this little local bakery. Having just come back from London, I'm on a hunt for scones for my at-home afternoon tea. Most places near me sell scones for over $3/piece. Only $1.40 at Rico pan! I tried two diff types of scones and they're both delicious. I'm definitely coming back for them. $1.70 or $1.80 each for the pound cake or the cream cheese Danish. Cream cheese Danish was so good. I didn't try the cakes but they were priced at $3.75 each slice for tiramisu and chocolate, $3/slice for cheesecake. The pastries are labeled but there's no price, so I have to ask the nice lady for each price. She was very nice and spoke mostly Spanish. I can't wait to come back and try the other items! It's very spacious inside but no tables, so def a to-go place. It had a nice coffee spread as well. Credit cards are accepted and I didn't see a minimum. What a gem!

Loved this cute little store with lots of Mexican and western delights. We tried the chocolate fudge cake which was a tad bit expensive at $4.75 for a tiny slice but still quite good. Also, the Oreo chocolate cake looked really good. They served Mitchell’s ice cream which was a pleasant surprise.

Nice little bakery. Serves very good Mitchell's ice cream. I'm not an expert on Spanish pastry, so can't comment on that, but there many thing I had to ask what they were. The owner was friendly and very generous with the samples of pastries and ice cream. Scoops of ice cream we got was very large.
